Picture Postcard signed: "Yours Wilkie Bard". B/w, 3½x5½. Wilkie Bard (1874-1944) was an English music hall and vaudeville singer and comedian. He introduced several popular songs, including "I Want to Sing in Opera" and "The Night Watchman". He also did pantomime, and tongue twisters. ("She sells sea shells by the sea shore," was introduced by Bard.) Signature bled and blotted. Lightly legible. Surface creases seen head on. Corners and edges creased. Ink note (unknown hand) on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
