Geer signed this sheet of Waldorf Astoria stationery with his name four times, and with "Grampa Walton" twice in red ink.
Four inscribed signatures by Geer: "Gladys G 4th grade. Grampa Walton/Will Geer", "For Bud - Walton/ Will Geer", "Adeline dear - Your Grampa Walton/Will Geer" and "Michael - Hi - Will Geer/ The Waltons", 7x6½, on stationery from the Towers, the Waldorf Astoria, New York, with embossed "WA" logo in upper left corner. Geer wrote an "X" in a circle to the left of the third signature. Will A. Geer (1902-1978) was an American actor. Geer got his start with Eva Le Gallienne's National Repertory company and often performed in work camps during the Great Depression. He became a frequent face on Broadway, with a total of 31 appearances between 1928 and 1971. Geer got his start in films with Misleading (1932) and, by the end of his career in 1978, collected over 100 movie and TV credits. He performed in a number of Westerns and was frequently cast as a villain during the 1960s. However, he's best known as Grandpa Zebulon Walton from The Waltons (1972-1978). Lightly creased. Embossed logo touches first signature. Lower edge is irregular Folded once horizontally and vertically. Otherwise, fine condition.
