A photograph of the comedian impersonating director Alfred Hitchock, signed with "Best Wishes"
Photograph signed: "Best/Wishes/Will Jordan". B/w, 10x8 overall, with montage of three photos (one surface). Captioned at lower margin: "Will Jordan as Alfred Hitchcock". Stand up comedian and impressionist Will Jordan (b. 1927) is best known for his hilarious impersonations, especially of Ed Sullivan, whom he portrayed in five feature films (I Wanna Hold Your Hand, 1978; The Buddy Holly Story, 1978, voice; The Doors, 1991; Mr. Saturday Night, 1992; and, Down With Love, 2003) and the made-for-TV movie, Elvis (1979). A frequent guest on The Ed Sullivan Show (first known as Toast of the Town) from 1953, Jordan also wrote a biography, Impresario, of Sullivan. His other impressions include Alfred Hitchcock, Bing Crosby and Robert Mitchum, and Jordan has appeared in a number of feature films (including Woody Allen's 1984 comedy, Broadway Danny Rose, as himself), guest starred in a long list of TV shows, made numerous commercials and appeared in clubs as well as on the Billy Joel video, "Tell Her About It". Light surface nicks at blank right margin (not evident head-on). Fine condition.
