Autograph Note signed: "To Frank H. Bohrer/with the best/wishes and regard/of Will Livingston Comfort", 5½x3½. Picture postcard of Echo Park, Los Angeles, bearing 1-cent stamp but no postmark. Will Livingston Comfort (1868-1932) wrote the first of his 20 books, Trooper Tales (1899), about his recent experience in the Spanish-American War. He was a newspaper correspondent, covering East Asia. In 1931 he published his last and best known book, Apache, a fictionalized account of the life of Apache chieftain Mangas Colorado. Toned and soiled. Corners worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
