British physician William Jenner (1815-1898) is best known for distinguishing the separate
identities of typhus and typhoid fevers (1847). A renowned physician and consultant, he was
named Physician Extraordinary (1861) and Physician in Ordinary to Queen Victoria (1862)
and Physician in Ordinary to the Prince of Wales (1863). Jenner, who was created a Baronet
in 1868, was President of the Royal College of Physicians from 1881-1888. Lightly creased
with folds, not at signature. Heavily soiled at blank areas,. Two tape remnants on verso (no
show through). Otherwise, fine condition.
