On letterhead of State of Mississippi, Office of the Governor to Mr. David Coxon, North Las Vegas, Nevada. In full: "Please thank your Mother for writing to me regarding my autographed picture for your collection. I appreciate her taking the time to correspond with me. Enclosed you will find my picture along with a brochure on Mississippi's history. Good luck to you with your collection. Respectfully". Enclosures not present. William A. "Bill" Allain (born in 1928) was the Democratic Governor of Mississippi from 1984-1988. An attorney and veteran of the Korean Conflict, Allain had previously served as the state's Attorney General (1979-1983), building a reputation as a consumer advocate. Slightly creased with fold, not at signature. Fine condition.
