Republican, William S. Cohen had served as U.S. Congressman (1973-1979)
and Senator (1979-1997) from Maine when he became Clinton's Secretary
of Defense (1997-2001). As a member of the House Judiciary Committee in
1974, he voted to send two articles of impeachment of President Nixon to the
full House of Representatives. Slightly rippled. Pencil note (unknown hand) on
verso, which is lightly soiled. Fine condition.
