The 3rd Earl of Radnor signs this slip of paper
Signature: “december [sic] seventeeth/ [one word difficult to decipher]/Thomas Newman/ [2
lines difficult to decipher]/Rador/ Bath” 4½x2¾, affixed to a 7x4¾ piece of paper. Clipping
containing biographical information about the title, Earl of Radnor, affixed to the left of the
slip of paper. William Pleydell-Bouverie, Earl of Radnor II (1779-1869), was a member of
the House of Commons. He became deputy lieutenant of Berkshire in 1801. Then, in
1828, he became the Earl of Radnor. Following in his father's footsteps, Radnor became
deputy lieutenant of Wiltshire and in 1939 was named vice-lieutenant of the county. Ink
note from a previous collector below slip of paper. Both the slip of paper and the piece of
paper are irregularly cut. Otherwise, fine condition.
