Autograph Quotation signed: "'The night has a thousand eyes'/Wm H. Barton, Jr./Hayden Planetarium/Feb. 16, 1937", 6x4½. William H. Barton, Jr. (1893-1944) was curator of New York City's Hayden Planetarium, which opened its doors in 1935. He had formerly been a lecturer in astronomy at the Fels Planetarium, Philadelphia. Barton was an influential popularizer of scientific concepts, and the author of An Introduction to Celestial Navigation (1942). Lightly creased. Lightly worn. Filing holes at left edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
