Autograph sentiment signed: "Sincerely W. H. MacDonald" in black ink. 1 page, 7x4. 1897. Actor William W.H. MacDonaldwas a member of The Bostonians, a musical comedy troupe. They were closely associated with Reginald DeKoven's musical Robin Hood, which the company performed on Broadway in a debut and two revivals between 1899 and 1904. W. H. MacDonald played the part of Little John, popularizing the song "Brown October Ale." He appeared in four other Broadway shows through 1904. Toned. Left edge frayed. Ink slightly smeared.
