4½x5½. Written on personal stationary. Southbend. In full: "My Dear
Morgan, Shall call about 12 tomorrow & hope to find Mr. B. and yourself
Yours faithfully". Scots-Irish novelist William Hamilton Maxwell
(1792-1850) is best known for his novels O'Hara (1825),
Stories from Waterloo (1934), Life of the Duke of
Wellington (1939-1941) and History of the Irish Rebellion of
1798 (1845). Edges and corners worn. Surface creases throughout. Small
tears in top edge. Adhesive marks on verso. Pencil notes on verso in unknown
hand. Otherwise, fine condition.
