Sincerely". William J. McManus (b. 1900) was Vice President for
Public Relations for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company and then Vice
President of Byers-McManus Associates, a Washington consulting firm. A
Treasurer of the Republican National Committee, he was appointed by
President Reagan in 1983 to the President's Commission on White House
Fellowships. Barbara Norton (1926-2012) was publicity director of the Sheraton
Park Hotel until her marriage to Loew's Theatre executive Orville Crouch in
1967. She was very well connected in Washington political circles. Normal
