Headed: "Re: 2924 Montcalm Drive/Los Angeles, California". Begins: "Gentlemen". In full: "I hereby authorize and direct you to apply my savings account balance of $50,750 toward the purchase of the promissory note and first deed of trust which you hold on the above-named property. The purchase price will be an amount equal to the unpaid balance of the promissory note, together with accrued interest thereon. Concurrently with your handing me a duly executed assignment instrument, in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A [not present], I shall hand you an executed deposit slip on my savings and loan account. All sums in my account in excess of the purchase price plus accrued interest set forth herein shall be remitted to me at my address specified below." Dictated by Ronald L. Blanc, whose name and address appear beneath Lear's signature. Lear, an electronic engineer who founded Lear Avia Corp. in 1934 to produce aircraft navigational equipment, formed Lear, Inc. in 1939 to manufacture military and aircraft products.
