Photograph signed: "Cheers/Wm Windom/'82". B/w, 8x10. William Windom (1923-2012), the great-grandson and namesake of the Secretary of the Treasury in the cabinets of Garfield and B. Harrision, appeared in 18 Broadway plays before his film debut as the prosecutor in To Kill a Mockingbird (1962). He did some of the voices in the space-age cartoon, The Jetsons and also starred in the TV series The Farmer's Daughter (1963-1966) and My World and Welcome to It (1969-1972), winning an Emmy Award for the latter. Windom made many appearances as Dr. Seth Hazlett in Murder, She Wrote (1985-1996). In 1967, Windom himself made a virtual space journey, playing Commodore Matt Decker in the Star Trek episode, "The Doomsday Machine." Fine condition.
