Willie Mosconi (1913-1993), the son of a pool hall owner, was a child prodigy at pool-type sports, staging exhibitions from the age of six. Mosconi, whose name is synonymous with "pocket billiards", won the World Billiards Championship fifteen times between 1941 and 1957, when he retired from competition following a stroke. Mosconi, who was technical advisor to the 1961 film, The Hustler, was also the author of several "how to" books on his sport. He is enshrined in the Italian American Hall of Fame. Mounting remnants at upper left and lower right blank corners. Three file holes at blank left margin. Fine condition.
