lower margin Willie Pastrano (1935-1997) was light heavyweight boxing
champion (1963-1965) and a colorful New Orleans native. Once called "the
Errol Flynn of boxing", the high living Pastrano was the subject of a recent
book by Pete Billac titled with his other nickname, Willie the Wisp.
Pastrano, whose career fight record was 63-13-8, with 14 kayos, elicited
this praise from Muhammad Ali: "Willie P (I call him Sweet Pea) is a great boxer
and a friend. He's almost as pretty as me." Lightly worn at corners. Horizontal
crease through face. Otherwise, fine condition.
