Advertisement for the feature film Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971), signed by five in blue felt tip. PETER OSTRUM (b. 1957), "Charlie Bucket" in the film, was offered a 3-movie contract after this successful debut, but turned it down. Today Dr. Ostrum is veterinarian. JULIE DAWN COLE (b. 1957), "Veruca Salt," chose a different route, returning to her native England for roles in many TV series, beginning with And Mother Makes Three. Recent appearances include 3 episodes of the series Emmerdale (2006). DENISE NICKERSON (1957-2019), "Violet Beauregarde," had already played "Amy Collins" in 21 episodes of the cult Gothic soap Dark Shadows (1968-1970), and appeared in two Broadway plays. She went on to the cast of the PBS children's series The Electric Company, before leaving acting in 1978. PARIS THEMMEN (b. 1959), "Mike TeeVee", made his first stage appearance at age six. He was in demand as a child actor in TV and radio commercials, making two dozen of them. Now a financial consultant in Los Angeles, he still accepts bit roles in the occasional movie (The Doors, The Big Lebowski). MICHAEL BOLLNER (b. 1958), forbidden by his father from pursuing an acting career after Willie Wonka, now runs an accounting firm in his hometown of Munich, Germany. Fine condition.
