Sepia, 4¼x6½. Polish pianist Witold Malcuzynski (1914-1977), famed for his renditions of
Chopin, studied under Poland's pianist/President Ignacy Paderewski. Joining the Polish
army during World War II, he escaped to Argentina and the US during World War II.
Married to French pianist Colette Gaveau, he lived in Switzerland after the war. Soiled and
lightly creased. Fold crease at upper right corner. Paper and adhesive residue (previous
mounting) on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
