Fully Translated from Spanish: “May 22, 1957 To Beatriz Ines Barcia a kind memory from Witold Malcuzynski”. Sepia, 4½x6¾, matted to 7x9. Signed on the mat. Polish pianist Witold Malcuzynski (1914-1977), famed for his renditions of Chopin, studied under Poland's pianist/President Ignacy Paderewski. Joining the Polish army during World War II, he escaped to Argentina and the US during World War II. Married to French pianist Colette Gaveau, he lived in Switzerland after the war. Soiled, toned and creased. Photograph lightly lifted and creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
