Show Bill inscribed and signed: "To Tommy,/Patty Maloney", "Best to Tommy/Billy Barty", "Baroness v. Lipstrill", 70 pages, 5½x8½. Playbill for a production of Andre Heller's Wonderhouse at New York's Broadhurst Theatre (October 20-27, 1991). BILLY BARTY (1924-2000), a dwarf actor who appeared in more than fifty films over sixty years (1933-1994), was also a popular figure on the Spike Jones TV variety shows of the 1950s. He was a long-time leader of Little People of America. PATRICIA MALONEY (b. 1936), a 47-inch redhead, appeared on stage from age 3. She has been seen frequently on TV, with recurring roles in Far Out Space Nuts (1975), Buck Rogers in the Twentieth Century (1979-1980) and A. J.'s Time Traveler's (1995). JEANETTE SCHMID (1924-2005) was a cross-dressing whistler born Rudolf Schmid and performing under the stage name of "Lips" von Lipstrill. After serving in the German army in World War II, she performed on stage with Frank Sinatra, Edith Piaf and Marlene Dietrich. He underwent a sex change operation in 1964, becoming a she. Schmid received Austria's Decoration of Merit in 2004. Fine condition.
