WYNN IRWIN
Signed letter of the American actor, known for Lotsa Luck, to
the American Museum of Historical Documents. Extremely rare!
Typed letter signed: "Wynn Irwin", in blue ink, 1 page, 8½x11.
No place, August 1984. To "Dear Mr. Axelrod", Todd M. Axelrod,
American Museum of Historical Documents, Las Vegas, in full:
"Received your letter requesting some piece of material from my career, and I
had to smile. The reason being is that my parents live in Las Vegas and I visit
there at least once a month. Because of this I would be most happy to comply
with your request. Having performed in over 50 Television shows and several
Motion pictures there is one show that people still recognize me and talk about.
That show is called 'Lotsa luck' which starred DOM Deluise. In the show I played
Dom's brother in law and I wore a bathrobe on every show. This bathrobe has
become sort of a legend here in Hollywood a museum was supposed to be built to
house T.V. TRIVIA but politics has quelled the idea. They wanted the bathrobe. A
tele-a thon in Richmond, VA. The same bathrobe was requested and so on. Because
my parents live in Las Vegas and because they are getting on in years, I would
be willing to Loan the bathrobe to museum along with a script from the show and
autographed picture. If you agree with this arrangement I would be happy to
personally delivery the about mentioned items on my next trip to Vegas. I plan
to visit Las Vegas on the last week of September. Awaiting your reply. I remain.
