YOGI BERRA, CO-SIGNED BY: BOB FELLER, JOHNNY "THE BIG CAT" MIZE, FRANK ROBINSON, ENOS "COUNTRY" SLAUGHTER

Baseball signed by Berra and four other Hall of Famers, including two who were Berra's teammates on the New York Yankees.

Baseball signed "Yogi Berra" in the sweet-spot in blue ink, "Frank Robinson", "Bob Feller" in blue ink, "Johnny Mize" and "Enos Slaughter". 2½ inch diameter. Rawlings Official American League Ball with Bobby Brown facsimile signature. All five signers are Hall of Famers. Three - Berra, Mize and Slaugher - were teammates on the Yankees. BERRA, born Lawrence Peter Berra in St. Louis, Missouri in 1925, was a fine defensive catcher and handler of pitchers as well as a feared slugger and clutch hitter who led powerful Yankee teams in RBIs seven years in a row (1949-1955) and was named AL Most Valuable Player three times. Though famous for swinging at bad pitches, Yogi seldom struck out. He played in a record 14 World Series - on the winner a record 10 times - and made every All-Star team from 1948 to 1962. FELLER (1918-2010), born in Van Meter, Iowa in 1918, is the most winning pitcher in Cleveland Indians history and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1962. Though regarded as the fastest pitcher of his day, with a sizzling fastball, "Rapid Robert" attributed his strikeout records to his curve and slider. Feller set a major league record with 208 walks and led the American League in both strikeouts and wins from 1939 to 1941. He was voted All-Star from 1938 to 1941, from 1946 to 1948 and in 1950. MIZE (1913-1993, born in Demorest, Georgia) was a first baseman for the Cardinals and Giants who led the National League in home runs four times and hit three in a single game on six occasions. He belted 359 lifetime round-trippers and finished with a .312 average. Mize, who ended his career with the New York Yankees (1949-1953), was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981. ROBINSON (1935-2019) was National League Rookie of the Year in 1956, Most Valuable Player in 1961, and American League Most Valuable Player and Triple Crown winner in 1966. He led the Orioles to an upset sweep of the Dodgers in the Oriole's first-ever World Series in 1966, gaining World Series MVP honors in the process. The 11-time All-Star became Major League Baseball's first black manager with the Cleveland Indians in 1975. Robinson was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1982. SLAUGHTER (1916-2002, born in Roxboro, NC) was a left-handed batter who hit .300 or better 10 times. He led the National League with 52 doubles in 1939 and with 188 hits in 1942, and led in triples in 1942 and 1949. He captured the league RBI title with 130 in 1946. Slaughter was the leader of and top hitter (.318) on the 1942 World Championship Cardinals. In 1985, he was elected to the Hall of Fame. Lightly toned. Slaughter, Mize and Robinson signatures are faint but legible. Light discoloration under Mize and Robinson signatures. Otherwise, fine condition.
