YOGI BERRA. Photograph signed: "Yogi Berra/He Was out!" B/w, 8x10. With the Brooklyn Dodgers trailing the New York Yankees 6-4 in the 8th inning of the first game of the 1955 World Series, and Whitey Ford on the mound, Jackie Robinson tried to steal home. In this photograph, taken at Yankee Stadium on September 28, 1955, catcher Yogi Berra tags a sliding Jackie Robinson. Umpire Bill Summers called Robinson safe. Yogi objected vociferously. Fifty years later, he still claims he was out. The Yankees won the game 6-5 but lost the World Series in seven games as the Brooklyn Dodgers won their first and only World Series. Fine condition.
