YOUNG AT HEART MOVIE CAST
Color photograph of the three Tuttle daughters looking happily at the Christmas tree at the left edge of the photograph
Photograph unsigned, Color 10x8. Doris Day plays the daughter in the green dress. From the 1954 film Young At Heart directed by Gordon Douglas. The film stars Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, Gig Young, Ethel Barrymore, Alan Hale Jr. and Dorothy Malone. It is a romantic musical about two men and their relationships with the Tuttle family and their three daughters. It was the first of five films that Gordon Douglas directed with Frank Sinatra. Doris Day was born on April 3, 1922,known for her wholesome, "girl-next-door" good looks and sparkling personality, "America's Sweetheart" was one of the most popular and highest paid actresses by the early 1950s. After her would-be dancing career was sidelined by an accident, Day (b. 1922) had turned to singing, first touring with bands and then introducing hit after hit in a string of romantic comedies. Nominated for an Academy Award for Pillow Talk (1959), she also brightened up the silver screen opposite such romantic leading men as Rock Hudson and Cary Grant. Her singing career was just as hot as her acting career, and her hit from the movie The ManWho Knew Too Much, "Que Sera, Sera", won an Oscar. Fine condition.
