outrageous, and unpredictable, Zach Galifianakis (b.1969) became one of
Hollywood's favorite funny guys when he starred as Alan Garner in The
Hangover (2009). Beginning in stand-up comedy, Galifianakis made his
on-screen debut on the short-lived sitcom Boston Common, where he played
loser friend, Bobby. In 2001 he hosted his own episode of Comedy Central
Presents, and later appeared on the network's top shows Reno 911!
(2005-2007) and The Sarah Silverman Program (2007). Galifianakis found
more film roles, landing spots in Corky Romano (2001), Heart
Breakers (2001) and Into the Wild (2007). When The Hangover
debuted in the summer of 2009, Galifianakis became a Hollywood star nearly
overnight, winning an MTV Movie Award for Best Comedic Actor. Since then,
he's earned major roles in Due Date (2010), The
Campaign (2012) and The Hangover Trilogy (2009-2013). Fine
