Autograph Quotation signed: "Zona Gale/1927", 3¾x4¼ slip, affixed to black 7¼x4¾ sheet, to which a captioned newspaper photo of Gale (pink-hued b/w, 1¾x2½) is also attached. Quotation: "'The world's greatest/need is a sense/of the intangible.'/E Jenkins Lloyd-Jones." Zona Gale (1874-1938), who wrote short stories, novels, biographies, poetry and plays, was the first female playwright on Broadway (Miss Lula Bett, 1920, a dramatization of her novel) and the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize in Drama (1921). Slightly soiled. Horizontal fold, not at signature. Otherwise, fine condition.
