An original 30x21 blueprint sketch for Set No. 4 of the television series Zorro, showing the interior planning for the "Secret Room" (wall sizes, floor sizes, and shelf sizes) and which areas of the room to change out, dated May 10, 1960
Ephemera unsigned, 30x21 open flat, 8¾x11¼ closed. An architect's rendering for Production 3104, Set No. 4. Sheet 1 of 1. Showing the interior planning for the "Secret Room", listing sizes for flooring, shelfing, and walls. Shown by the plans, the set may have been previously used, and simply had elements replaced. Dated May 10, 1960. Drawn by "Trauvourn". Approved by and signed: "C. Clark" on identifying panel. Premiering in 1957, Zorro brought the story of the Spanish hero swordsman of California to television, produced by Walt Disney Productions with Guy Williams as the titular hero, Zorro (Don Diego de la Vega). The 78 episodes of Zorro were televised from 1957-1959 on ABC and were extremely popular with younger audiences. It also produced a hit recording for the female vocal group, The Chordettes. However, despite the popularity, the show was canceled after two seasons due to financial issues, and was only kept alive by hour long specials. Multiple folds. Soiled with pencil markings and smears. Pin holes in corners. Creased throughout. Corners worn and creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
