The 1983 Brian De Palma film, Scarface, starred Pacino as Tony Montana, an exiled Cuban criminal who rises to the top of Florida's crime chain, beginning as a runner for Miami drug lord Frank Lopez (Robert Loggia). ALFREDO JAMES "AL" PACINO (b. 1940) is an American actor who has also worked as a screenwriter and filmmaker. His career has spanned more than fifty years, during which time he received many competitive and honorary accolades and honors, such as an Academy Award, two Tony Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, and the National Medal of Arts. Interestingly, Pacino is also one of the few performers to have won a competitive Oscar, an Emmy, and a Tony Award, dubbed the "Triple Crown of Acting". Some of his most famous films are Scent of a Woman (1992), The Godfather(1972), Dick Tracy (1990), Glengarry Glen Ross(1992), Serpico(1973), The Godfather: Part II(1974), Dog Day Afternoon (1975), and And Justice for All(1979).
