Inscribed photograph signed "To Joyce-/All the Best/Art Lund". Also signed on verso "Art L[obscured]/Taken By/Joyce Hammond/Orie[obscured]Theatre" in red ink and "1947" in black ink, both in unknown hand. B/w, 3x4½ overall, 2½x4 image, one surface. Actor and singer Lund (1915-1990, Salt Lake City, Utah) started his career as a singer for Benny Goodman and Harry James before becoming a soloist on the MGM label (he had a No. 3 hit with Mam'selle in 1947). After appearing on a 1956 episode of Toast of the Town, Lund was seen on the small screen in made-for-TV movies, in the miniseries, The Winds of War (1983), and as a guest star in several TV shows, from Wagon Train (1962) to Knight Rider (1984). He also appeared in a number of feature films, including The Molly Maguires (1970), The Last American Hero (1973), Baby Blue Marine (1976) and It's Alive III: Island of the Active (1987, his last film). Lightly toned, scuffed, cracked and creased. Adhesive residue on verso. Signatures on verso partly obscured by adhesive residue. Otherwise in fine condition.
