Barbara R. Morgan signs an ornate border card in blue ink to a
family.
Signature: "To Sy Sussman & Family-/Barbara R. Morgan",
5x3 ornate border card. On July 19, 1985 then 33-year-old Barbara Morgan was
selected as backup for Christa McAuliffe, who perished in the 1986
Challenger disaster. From September 1985 to January 1986, Morgan
trained with Christa McAuliffe and the Challenger crew at NASA's Johnson
Space Center, Houston. On April 12, 2002, NASA announced that Morgan would
be aboard a future shuttle flight to the International Space Station. Fine
condition.
