Harrison", 6¼x5¼ album leaf. Charles Harrison (1878-1965) was an
American tenor balladeer who scored #1 hits with "Peg O' My Heart" (1913),
"Ireland Must Be Heaven For My Mother Comes From There" (1916) and "I'm Always
Chasing Rainbows" (1918). He recorded popular songs, but also opera numbers,
for Columbia, Edison and Victor, the latter company billing him as "a voice
in one million". Harrison and his wife, Beulah Gaylord Young, were part of
radio's Eveready Mixed Quartet. He appeared in three Broadway shows of the
1930s. Lightly frayed at right edge. Lightly foxing. Slightly creased.
