Autograph Note signed: "Best Wishes/To/Bernard Randall/Charlie Snowball Whittier/The Shadow",4½x5¾ album leaf. African-American dancer Charlie "Snowball" Whittier performed with the orchestra of Ted Lewis for many years. When Lewis sang his signature number, "Me and My Shadow," Whittier often performed with him, mimicking Lewis' moves. Whittier may be seen in Lewis' 1941 film short, Is Everybody Happy? Later he performed on stage in his own one-man show. Soiled. Otherwise, fine condition.
