English actor and theatre director CHRISTOPHER HEWETT (1921-2001) is best known for his role as Lyn Aloysius Belvedere on the hit sitcom Mr. Belvedere (1985-1990). Landing his first acting start at the age of 7 in a Dublin stage production of Midsummer's Night Dream, Hewett has performed in several Broadway musicals, including My Fair Lady (1956-1962), Music Is(1976), Kean (1960-1961) and The Unsinkable Molly Brown (1960-1962). He also had a very memorable performance as the over-the-top theatre director Roger DeBris in Mel Brook's The Producers (1968). Some of his other screen credits include Ratboy (1986), Pool of London (1951) and The Lavender Hill Mob (1951). A singer with a powerful soprano voice, ELIZABETH LARNER (b. 1931) fared well in musical theatre, performing on Broadway and London's West end in the 1950's. She first gained notice with her role in Kiss Me, Kate, but went on to appear in plays like Wish You Were Here, Kismet, Camelot, and Oliver!. In 1969, Larner was selected for a role in the British series Up Pompeii!, which jumpstarted a brief television career that ended in the 1990's when she retired from show business.
