Signature of the British pop singer. A rare signature.
Signature: "Donald Peers", 3x1¾. Welsh-born British singer Donald Peers (1908-1973) made his London debut in a music revue in 1929, and signed his first recording contract in 1933. He entertained troops during World War II, and was injured on D-Day (1944). His greatest fame arose after the war, when he had his own BBC radio program and starred in the West End premiere of Buttons and Bows (1948). The following year, he performed solo at the London Palladium and the Royal Albert Hall. His biggest hit, recorded in 1944, was "In a Shady Nook by a Babbling Brook", but he had many UK hit recordings in the 1950s and one as late as 1972 ("Give Me One More Chance"). He had his own TV show, The One O'Clock Show, in the 1950s. Adhesive residue on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
