Typed Document Signed: "Fred MacMurray", 1p, 8½x11. No place, 1961 January 30. Headed: "Release Form". In letter form to News Syndicate Co. Inc., New York, New York. Begins: "Gentlemen". In full: "In consideration of the publicity to be given to me and which may arise herefrom, my consent is hereby irrevocably given to you, your assignees and licensees, and to the Chicago Tribune-New York News Syndicate, Inc., and its subscribers and licensees, to use my name, picture, or portrait, in publications for editorial or promotional purposes, excluding, however, commercial advertising." In the year he signed this document, MacMurray appeared in the Disney feature film, The Absent Minded Professor, and was a guest on a This is Your Life tribute to William Frawley. Fred MacMurray (1908-1991) starred in comedies, dramas and musicals. Among his memorable films were True Confession (1937), Double Indemnity (1944) and The Caine Mutiny (1954). His other Disney films include The Shaggy Dog (1959) and Son of Flubber (1963). He is best known to TV audiences as widower Steven Douglas, raising My Three Sons from 1960-1972. Lightly creased. Slightly soiled at 1 word of type. Fine condition.
