Metzenbaum (1917-2008, born in Cleveland, Ohio) was a Democratic U.S. Senator from Ohio in 1974 and from 1977 to 1995. An attorney, Metzenbaum had previously served in the Ohio State House of Representatives (1943-1946) and the Ohio State Senate (1947-1950). After retiring from electoral politics he became Chairman of the Consumer Federation of America (1995). Slightly creased with folds, not at signature.
