I'M SOLOMON PLAY CAST, CO-SIGNED BY: KAREN MORROW, DICK "RICKY" SHAWN
The comedian and Broadway actress both sign this Playbill for the show "I'm Solomon"
Show bill signed: "Ricky Shawn" and "Love,/Karen/Morrow" in black ink. 62 pages, 6x9. Playbill for the production of "I'm Solomon" at the Mark Hellinger Theater, signed on page 17. Born Richard Schulefand, Dick "Ricky" Shawn (1923-1987) was a former nightclub comedian who debuted in 1956's The Opposite Sex. He appeared in a number of feature films, including The Wizard of Baghdad (1960), Wake Me When It's Over (1961), It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963), What Did You Do in the War, Daddy? (1966) and The Producers (1967). Continuing to do stand-up while appearing in films, Shawn died of a heart attack while performing in San Diego. His live performances were so quirky and unpredictable that the crowd at first assumed that his collapse was part of his act. Karen Morrow (b. 1936) won the 1962 Theatre World Award for her off-Broadway debut in Sing, Muse!, and she has also won an Emmy Award for the PBS show, Cabaret Tonight. A regular on The Jim Nabors Hour (1969-1971), Morrow has also had recurring roles on Tabitha, a spin-off of Bewitched (1977; as Aunt Minerva), Friends (1979) and Ladies' Man (1980), appeared in TV movies such as The Boy in the Plastic Bubble (1976), made several appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and was a guest star on such series as Love, American Style, The Love Boat, Murder, She Wrote and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. Toned. Corners rounded. Otherwise, fine condition.
