Autograph Sentiment signed: "Your Obt Svt/James Bischoff/55 Broad
Street/2 April 1832", 4¼x2¼, affixed to a 6x3¼ sheet (2 surfaces) bearing
ink note (unknown hand). James Bischoff (1776-1845), a wool merchant from
Leeds, England, wrote numerous books and pamphlets in favor of free
trade. In 1842, he published his most ambitious work, a comprehensive
history of the wool industry. A mountain in Tasmania is named for him. Fine
condition.
