JAMES "JIMMIE" FIDLER - TYPED LETTER SIGNED - HFSID 31767
Price: $320.00
JAMES "JIMMIE" FIDLER
Letter from Fidler to fellow columnist Louis Sobol, speaking briefly
of a small time actress who he remarks has a look "poets write about". Then goes
on to ask that Sobol turn in a payment that is due, saying that it was probably
overlooked in the Christmas rush
Typed letter signed: "Jimmie", in green ink, 2 pages, 8½x11.
Hollywood, California. In part: "Dear Louis: I was much interested in
the comment about Nomy Bencid. But for goodness sakes alive, disillusion her
about this Fidler egg. I did manage to get her some tests by Universal, and
those tests are here now. Whether anything will ever come of that I cannot tell.
I saw the tests, and while they are not world-beaters by any means, they do
reveal that she is quite beautiful, and that she has one of those feminine
figures poets write about...I hate to turn a perfectly nice letter into something
that may ruin a lovely day for you - but you haven't mailed a check for the
current month now ending. Perhaps you overlooked it in the Christmas rush...".
