Autograph note signed "JB". 1 page, 3x3. In full:"Sounds like high class teaching indeed. Your students are [illegible]." American novelist, short story writer and educator Barth (1930-2024) began his career with two short novels, The Floating Opera (1957) and The End of the Road (1958), both dealing with controversial subjects. His later works include Giles Goat-Boy (1966), Chimera (1972) and The Tidewater Tales: A Novel (1987). Lightly creased and bowed. Adhesive residue on verso (no show-through). Otherwise in fine condition.
