The joke mentioned and its origination are typed on verso: "(When asked at a science-fiction convention 'What is the best advise (sic, advice) you have ever been given?') 'On My twenty-first birthday my father said, 'Son, here's a million dollars. Don't lose it.'" Science fiction writer Larry Niven (born in 1938), whom Arthur C. Clarke once named as his favorite author, is best known for his futuristic Ringworld series. His other works include Man-Kzin Wars novels and Known Space novels and stories. Fine condition.
