ISSUE. Martin Perl (1927-2014), a researcher at the Stanford Linear
Accelerator, earned the 1995 Nobel Prize in Physics for discovering a new
elementary particle, the tau lepton. A superheavy cousin of the familiar
electron, the tau lepton is 3,500 heavier and survives for only a trillionth of
a second. Fine condition.
