RAY "CRASH" CORRIGAN. Photograph inscribed and signed: "To/Harry =/Best of luck/my true western/friend = /Ray 'Crash' Corrigan/July 19 - 75." B/w, 10x8. SHown in movie still from Land of Hunted Men (1943). Raymond Benard (1907-1976) took the name of "Crash Corrigan", his first starring role (Undersea Kingdom, 1936). Originally a stunt man and a double for Johnny Weissmuller's Tarzan, he starred as Corrigan, often with the screen name of Tucson Smith, in many Westerns of the 1930s and forties. He was often part of an ensemble cast with "the three Mesquiteers" and "the Range Busters". Slightly soiled. Type description on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
