tip, b/w, 10x8. Shown with his horse Ko Ko in a movie still from Colorado Sundown
(1952). "The Arizona Cowboy", singer and actor Rex Allen (1920-1999), appeared on stage,
rodeo and radio (National Barn Dance) before beginning his film career. In a span of five
years (1949-1954) he made over 20 Westerns, many featuring sidekick Slim Pickens and
Allen's horse Ko Ko (billed as "the Miracle Horse of the Movies"). Allen starred in TV's
Frontier Doctor (1956), and was the narrator in many Disney films, including The
Incredible Journey (1963) and Charlotte's Web (1973). Creased. Lightly toned. Torn at center
top edge with paper tape on verso. Ink stamp on verso. Corners worn. Otherwise, fine
condition.
