Program page signed: "Bob Goulet", 1p front and verso, 8¼x11. Singer/actor Robert Goulet (born in 1933) made his Broadway debut in 1959 as Lancelot in Camelot. After his hit single, "What Kind of Fool Am I?", Goulet won a Grammy Award as Best New Artist in 1963. For the rest of that decade, Goulet focused on album recordings. The winner of the 1968 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical (The Happy Time), Goulet was the star of La Cage aux Folles when it won the 2005 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival. Goulet, who performed for three Presidents and at a command performance for Queen Elizabeth II, also appeared in a number of films, including I'd Rather Be Rich (1964), Atlantic City (1980), Beetle Juice (1988), The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear (1991) and Toy Story 2 (1999, singing voice of Wheezy the Penguin). He also found success in TV adaptations of musicals, including Brigadoon (1966), Carousel (1967) and Kiss Me Kate (1968), and Goulet has also appeared in made-for-TV movies and made guest appearances on TV shows ranging from Toast of the Town (1961) to The Tony Danza Show (2005). He was married to singer/actress Carol Lawrence, the second of his three wives, from 1963 until their divorce in 1981. Fine condition.
