Autograph Note Signed: "Thank you George,/It was a lovely day!/Best Wishes!!/Sally Forrest" and on verso: "Mahalo nui loa/(Thank you very much)/Aloha/Richard Tongg/3-26-52" in green ink. 1p. 8x10, two newspaper photos with bio affixed to sheet (three surfaces). SALLY FORREST (1928-2015), the daughter of ballroom dancers, made her film debut as a dancer in Till the Clouds Roll By in 1946. A protégé of Ida Lupino in the early 1950s, her film credits include Take Me Out to the Ball Game (1949), Hard, Fast and Beautiful (1951), Code Two (1953), Son of Sinbad (1955) and While the City Sleeps (1956). Forrest also appeared on a number of early TV anthologies, variety shows and as a guest in series including Rawhide (1959, 1964) and Family Affair (1967). RICHARD TONGG (1898-1988) was a Hawaiian landscape architect. He was also a co-founder of Aloha Airlines with his brother Ruddy. Tongg's work includes the Friendship Garden in the 1930s and the Traditional Asian Gardens at Honolulu International Airport. Tongg was also a prolific horticultural writer. His works include: The Modern Tropical Garden: Its Design, Plant Materials and Horticulture; A Guide to Tropical and Semitropical Flora (Hawaiian Flowers and Flowering Trees); and Specifications for Construction of Heritage Garden. George R. Sanders, originally a disc jockey, became a prominent radio/TV interview host, first in Los Angeles and later in Portland. Left edge frayed from removal from book.
