Biography
English professor and author Reid (1918-1990) won the 1969 Pulitzer Prize for Biography or Autobiography for The Man From New York: John Quinn and His Friends, a biography of American lawyer, Irish nationalist and art patron John Quinn. His other books include The Lives of Roger Casement, Necessary Lives: Biographical Reflections and The House of Yeats.
