Biography
Frank Crosetti (1911-2002) wore the Yankee pinstripes for a record 37 consecutive seasons as a player and a coach. Purchased by the Yankees in 1930, he played shortstop for 17 seasons beginning in 1932. Crosetti, who had a .245 batting average (with 98 home runs and 649 RBIs) and was an All Star in 1936 and 1939, was a member of nine Yankee AL championship teams and played on eight World Series Champion teams. He was Yankee third base coach for 20 seasons, during which the team played in 15 additional World Series championship games. He has more World Series rings than anyone in baseball history: 17.
