Biography
Herschel Bernardi (1923-1986) earned an Emmy for his recurring character of Lt. Jacobi in the TV series Peter Gunn(1958-1961). Herschel also played the lead role in the Broadway productions of Fiddler on the Roof (1965-1970, replacement, and 1981) and Zorba (1968-1969). He received Emmy nominations for Zorba and the revival of Fiddler on the Roof.
