Biography
John Russell (1921-1991) returned from WWII as a decorated Marine veteran. He appeared in many Westerns and other action films, usually as a villain or secondary lead, until being cast in his best known role, Marshall Dan Troop in the TV Western, Lawman (1959-1962). Russell's last film role, as a villain again, was in Under the Gun (1988).
